A Warm Drink for a Cold Day

One of my favorite warm drinks is hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps. I do happen to be drinking a mug of it at the moment. Just prepare the hot chocolate as you normally would. Then, add about 1 oz. of peppermint schnapps. It reminds me of an Andes mint and tastes like liquid candy. Mmmm. It’s perfect for a day with a heavy snowstorm in front of a fireplace. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fireplace. There’s also no snow. It’s unseasonably warm in Boston right now.

Other liqueors work well, too, particularly any type of schnapps.

I exercise strong self control. I never drink anything stronger than gin before breakfast.
