Filtering Vodka
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple years, you’ve probably seen this “scientific” study determining whether or not filtering cheap vodka could make it taste like expensive vodka. I was reminded of its existence by a much worse rip-off of this article that was recently submitted to digg. It’s also certainly not bad to revisit anyway considering the hundreds of comments this post has generated.
Skipping past the experimentation (which admittedly, is the fun part), the result is yes. Go ahead and buy that plastic handle of bad vodka for $10 and get a carbon filter. Who needs Grey Goose when you can make your own?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for visiting my blog. After looking around yours for a bit I can see that you might be interested in visiting this site - Beer Advocate. I know these guys and watched as they have turned their love of beer into a nice little business. Figured it might give you some added inspiration and ideas for your blog.
Keep up the good work!

Also, for anyone else reading the comments, don’t forget to buy your ticket for the Extreme Beer Fest next month! I hear they’re running out of tickets fast. I’ve been to the last four beer fests, and they have all been incredible.
