Martini Crossing

Martini Crossing SignIn my unfortunately sober surfing of the Web, I came across this image posted to MorgueFile.

What the hell?

This was taken in Bremen, Germany. Apparently, there are enough people walking around with martini glasses that drivers should be careful not to hit them.

I find this especially funny, since right behind the sign, you can see another one of a women holding the hand of a child. Apparently, this is also a children zone. Then again, the attitude in Germany towards drinking is much more relaxed (and enlightened) than here in the USA. My understanding is that people often bring their kids to beer gardens and the such there.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed - Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.
