Dale’s Pale Ale and Old Chub Scottish Style Ale

The Phoenix doesn’t really say much about these beers, but they do look interesting. Oskar Blues is a new entrant to Massachusetts coming all the way from Colorado, and it’s available at only a few places in Boston. It looks intriguing, considering it comes in a can when most microbrews come in bottles. Oskar Blues makes the argument that cans are lightweight, nearly unbreakable, chill faster, and keep beer fresher.

Dale’s is apparently hoppy while Old Chub is a smoky stout. Gordon’s and One Nut Brown Ale appear not to be available in MA. Then again, their distribution map still shows MA as a state in which their beer is unavailable, so I wonder how exactly these local package stores are getting their beer.

If God had intended us to drink beer, He would have given us stomachs.
