What To Do with Old Wine Corks
In my surfing around, I came across a wine cork trivet, which I thought was pretty cool. I’ve always just thrown them out, but the designs on them are pretty cool and it seems wasteful to just pitch them. After some more surfing, I found these two threads that provided some ideas for what to do with old wine corks:
- Hot glue corks in patterns to plain furniture
- Make art with corks
- Use corks to make a corkboard
- Use them as decorative rocks in vases
- Use them for storing sharp tools
- Make placeholders out of them
- Build a boat
- Floating candle wreath
- Use them in lieu of felt pads for furniture
- Use them to absorb and hold moisture in gardening
