What To Do with Old Wine Corks

In my surfing around, I came across a wine cork trivet, which I thought was pretty cool. I’ve always just thrown them out, but the designs on them are pretty cool and it seems wasteful to just pitch them. After some more surfing, I found these two threads that provided some ideas for what to do with old wine corks:

  • Hot glue corks in patterns to plain furniture
  • Make art with corks
  • Use corks to make a corkboard
  • Use them as decorative rocks in vases
  • Use them for storing sharp tools
  • Make placeholders out of them
  • Build a boat
  • Floating candle wreath
  • Use them in lieu of felt pads for furniture
  • Use them to absorb and hold moisture in gardening
