A Vodka-Less Russia
Considering that Russians even give vodka to their circus animals, it must be pretty scary that vodka stock is running dangerously low there. This was caused by an anti-counterfeiting law that required all bottles of vodka to carry an excise duty stamp. Unfortunately, not enough of the stamps were made, so the bottles can’t go on store shelves. Thankfully, though, vodka production has resumed, and Russians will be able to continue their national pasttime largely uninterrupted.
