Don’t Forget the Food
DailyNewsTribune.com has a couple interesting events for learning how to eat and drink. Admittedly, I don’t drink certain things like scotch very often, because I know nothing about them. A course like these can introduce you to things you never knew you liked and simultaneously teach you about how to enjoy them.
If you have no idea how to eat sushi and don’t know what wines and champagnes go with it, then Fugakyu has a $65/person course that includes a five-course dinner with wine and champagne. Plus, you get an autographed copy of some guy’s book.
If you’re more into scotch, then Dewar’s 12-brand ambassador will hold a course at Maxwell’s 148. For $85/person, you get a four-course dinner that has a different scotch cocktail per course. Plus, you get some sort of party favor. The menu sounds really freaking good.
