$5 Million of Vodka

Aleksandr Nikishin has spent 10 years collecting 40,000 vodka artifacts. Can you say, “Holy crap!”?

He got started on his collection when he agreed to write a book about Smirnov and wanted to photograph a vodka bottle. The store wanted $200 to take a photograph but was selling the bottle for $150. Then, it snowballed into a decade-long obsession.

Now, he wants to sell the collection for $5 million and have it put in a nice museum. Until that museum opens, you can visit the current three vodka museums in Russia the next time you head there.
