Patong Belly
I don’t know how reliable this news source is, but in Patong, Phuket in Thaliand, the beer belly is trendy. The “Patong Belly” requires years of work to become fully developed and must then be displayed proudly. Apparently, the trend is only popular among men.
In case you’re wondering if beer can even cause a beer belly though, there’s a study from the Czech Republic that suggests it doesn’t. Personally, I find this study ridiculous, as we all know that drinking too much beer can make you fat regardless. I guess the point is that it doesn’t necessarily cause your belly to round out in that form.
