Wine Bottles
It appears to be a slow day for an alcoholic, so I dug up an interesting article about whether you can tell how expensive a wine is by the size of the punt (the indentation on the bottom of a bottle). The theory is that the deeper the punt, the more expensive the wine. Is this guy for real? I don’t know. However, there are many who believe this is a myth. I guess the only thing you can do is go to your nearest wineshop and annoy the hell out of the clerk by measuring every single bottle.
Speaking of wine bottles, check out this site that describes the different shapes. The next time you’re at a party, impress your friends by covering the labels and describing what the wine is just by looking at the bottle. Of course, beware that you may make a fool of yourself.
