Making Liqueur

Downsizer has a guide to making your own liqueurs using fruits and herbs. The basic idea is that you can take a standard liquor and infuse it with whatever flavor you want. For fruit, add sugar and soak it in liquor. For herbs, soak it in liquor and add sugar syrup. Pretty simple.

The guide includes recipes for blackberry whisky, cherry brandy, sloe gin, blackcurrant rum, raspberry vodka, and beech leaf noyau. I’m especially excited about the sloe gin, as I find it difficult to find in local liquor stores.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
