Bringing Life with a Brewery

The Boston Globe has an article detailing the very near reopening of the Haffenreffer Brewery in JP. In the 1800s there were as many as 25 breweries in the area, mostly opened by German entrepreneurs, and Haffenreffer used to have a legendary free beer tap to which Red Sox players would go to fortify themselves after games. Now, the only brewery in the area is Boston Beer Co., home to Sam Adams, which has its headquarters in the former Haffenreffer building.
