Drinking Can Be Really Expensive
With the introduction of a $3000 martini at the Mezz Ultra Lounge at Foxwoods, The Westerly Sun compiled a list of some of the most outrageously priced drinks available. Granted, the $3000 martini comes with sapphire and diamond earrings, but seriously, who would buy these?
- The Algonquin Hotel in NYC offers a $10,000 martini that comes with a diamond. Two of them have actually been sold since it’s debut in 2004.
- The Bar Hemingway at the Paris Ritz has the Ritz Sidecar for 400 euros (~$476.32). It’s mixed with cognac made in 1834 and is listed as the most expensive commercially available cocktail in the Guinness Book of World Records.
- The Robb cocktail at the London Ritz cost $87,600. For that price, you would have gotten a 13.66-carat yellow diamond swizzle stick.
