Made in Italy
With all eyes on Torino, it’s interesting to note a factoid concerning Italy: wine is Italy’s biggest food export to the USA. In 2005, they exported 222.2 million litres of wine and vermouth to the US worth $1.08 billion.
That’s just crazy. I guess it’s pretty hard to spend $1.08 billion on something like pasta, though.
