Green Beer
Nope, it’s not St. Patrick’s Day yet. Instead, “green” refers to eco-friendliness.
Check out New Belgium Brewery, which produces green beer. Unfortunately, it’s not yet available in Massachusetts, but it is available throughout the west. The company was founded by an electrical engineer and a social worker, so it’s pretty obvious what their bent is.
The brewery is 100% wind-powered, they use half as much water to make beer as other breweries, use green building techniques, etc.
All of this is pretty exciting, especially considering past allegations against some major brewers about the amount of waste they create.
