You Are What You Drink
Does what you drink say something about you? Of course. That’s why I steer clear of ordering Malibu Bay Breezes in public and reserve them only for the privacy of my own home. “Barkeep, one manly drink, please.”
Anyway, this article from Weekend Observer in Swaziland sums up a research study down in London that suggests what each drink says about you. Each participant was asked questions and were required to pick one of five car models that best described them:
- Red Wine: You’re mature. You’re likely an organized and focused professional who’s boring and unadventurous to some. 43% of red wine drinkers chose the Volvo Saloon.
- Vodka/White Wine: You’re young, entrepreneurial, and like being in charge. Being fashionable and modern are important, and you’re opinionated and independent. 53% of white wine drinkers and 61% of vodka drinkers chose the Mercedes SLK/Audi Quattro.
- Tequila: You’re an extrovert. You’re a free spirit and unconcerned about tomorrow or achievement. 40% of tequila drinkers chose the Nissan Micra or VW Beetle.
- Gin: You’re stable and focus on home, family, and friends. You like comfort and security. 50% of gin drinkers chose a “people carrier” (I guess minivan) or Renault.
- Beer or Rum: You’re experimental and creative. However, you don’t act on the majority of these ideas. You probably like jazz, media, and weird art and prefer wearing black. 63% of beer drinkers and 60% of rum drinkers chose a Vintage MG.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
