Learning To Bartend
This is an interesting article showcasing a bartending school in Torrance, CA. The difference between Pacific Bartending School and others is the focus on bartending v. mixology.
However, that’s not really the best part of the article. The key thing I picked up was this mnemonic:
Q. How do you make an Orgasm?
A. On your bak, B-A-K, Bailey’s, amaretto, Kahlula.

Almost every school has devices like that.
My takeaway from the article is that it teaches the art, more than just the concept. The final test at a chain school is the instructor calling out 15 drinks and you have to make them in 10 minutes (my numbers may be a little off, but it’s somewhere in that area).
Looks like this guy actually wants to teach a skill, rather than teach you to be a monkey.
