TheStreet.com on Whisky
In a departure from the regular financial rigamarole, TheStreet.com’s Bill Snyder showcases whisky. (This one appears not to require the usual subscription.)
Snyder goes into the history, production, and consumption of whisky with nary a mention of investing in any stock (or even attempting to save money). He also highlights a few good websites: Malt Madness, UISGE, and Whiskies of the World.
The one interesting thing that I want to highlight concerns the type of glass to use. It seems that using a flute is better than using a tumbler, as it concentrates the aroma. I may try that tonight, but I’ll probably have to break the ice cubes smaller, as I prefer mine on a couple rocks. Then again, I have the whole bottle, so maybe I’ll just sniff from that while I sip from a glass.
