I remember when I was a kid back in the late ’70s there was a big beer can collecting craze. My parents were regular flea-market goers, and when I went with them I always saw tons of beer can dealers. The cone tops were always the “holy grail” items and were priced accordingly.
I briefly had a small collection myself (as much as a ten-year-old kid could afford to collect…a few dozen or so), but alas, no cone tops. I pretty much bought cans that cost a buck or less and had cool-looking labels. I clearly wasn’t hardcore
