Where’s That Brewery?
An analysis of population density and brewery locations indicates that 58% of Americans live within 10 miles of a brewery. Since the mean travel time to work is 25.5 minutes, 175 million Americans can get a fresh beer in less time than it takes to get to work. Of course, the boss may frown upon making the former choice.
This study comes up in conjunction with the upcoming American Craft Beer Week, which is May 15-21. During that time, visit as many breweries as you can to collect points by having brewers endorse your Great American Beer Tour passport. These points can then be traded in for different prizes.
