History of the Margarita

Years ago, Carlos “Danny” Herrera passed away at the age of 90, leaving behind the legacy of the margarita. Named after the actress Marjorie King who was won of his customers, she was supposedly allergic to all alcohol but tequila. She found the traditional tequila shooter disgusting, though, so Herrera created a new drink for her. It spread across Mexico and Southern California, and soon enough, it ended up on every menu in the USA and around the world.
