Drinking Beer Properly

Oh! My head aches when I read this article about what’s best for beer, and I feel like the know-it-all kid in grade school who’s itching to answer the teacher’s questions. Of course, this is really a matter of preference. As the article says, “To each his own.”

Personally, I usually prefer a bottle over a can and an unfrosted pint glass to a frosted mug, and glasses made of glass as opposed to other materials. However, not all people do.

Since I consider myself a “beer geek” rather than a “beer snob”, I tend to drink (almost any) beer under whatever conditions seem to be appropriate given the context.

For example, a hot summer day while doing yardwork? Gimme an ice cold “lawnmower” beer right out of the can.

If I’m at the local bar with the killer selection of Belgians on tap? I expect it to be the correct temperature and served in the proper glass.

    And everything else in between!

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.
