Meet Lichido
Capitalizing on the fruity martini craze that’s quickly incorporating more exotic flavors, Transatlantic Spirits LLC has recently released Lichido. It’s a lychee liqueur produced and bottled in Cognac, France in a fancy bottle that any swanky nightclub or lounge would be proud to put on the back bar. (Read: $$$$!) At 18% AVB in 750ml bottles, it won’t knock you down either unless you knock back too many.
The liqueur uses cognac, vodka, lychees, guavas, and white peaches to create an East-West fusion of flavor that sounds pretty good. I wouldn’t mind tasting some of it. However, it’s currently only available in New York, though they promise future markets in California, Massachusetts, Florida, Chicago, and Las Vegas.

I tried Lichido a few days ago at a friend’s house and I must say this stuff rocks! I’m glad to see it’s getting some well-deserved recognition.

Agreed. The bottle caught my eye at a liquor store and I did an impulse buy. Did not regret it at all. The next day, my husband lugged home five bottles. He gets like that.
