What’s in Your Beer?

BBC News has a great article about what exactly is in the beer you drink. Many mass market beers have such things as betaglucanase and propylene glycol alginate (clearly not water, malted barley, hops, or yeast). The first is a catalyst to speed up brewing, and the second stablizes the beer’s head. Although safe, it’d be nice to know that they’re in the beer. However, in the UK and most of the EU (and while not mentioned in the article, the US, too) laws don’t require brewers to list their ingredients.
