Chipotle Beer
As many of you may faintly recall, yesterday was Cinco de Mayo. Ah, are those memories coming back yet? I surprisingly didn’t end up having a single drop of tequila, though I still celebrated with a few admittedly un-Mexican mojitos. However, I certainly wish I’d known about this beer beforehand!
Rogue Ales in Oregon made a chipotle ale in time for Cinco de Mayo. The beer is a golden ale spiced with chipotle chile peppers. It has a tight head, rich malty aroma, smooth and crisp flavor, and subtle chile finish. It’s reminiscent of rauchbier and goes well with foods like chile rellenos, chile verde or chicken mole. I thirst in desire.

this beer actually wasn’t made FOR cinco de mayo.. it’s years and years old, they’ve been serving this at their TapRooms for a few years now.

Ah, I didn’t realize that. Thanks for the clarification. The article wasn’t clear about that.
