Carnival of Drinking Updates

I received a number of submissions for Carnival of Drinking #1. However, they’ve been coming slowly for the second edition. As a result, I’ve decided to change the Carnival of Drinking to biweekly. I think weekly at this stage was just too optimistic, though I’m happy with a thin, high-quality edition. This week, you should head over The Art of Drink where Mixology Monday will likely be posted soon.

The next edition will be on May 15, 2006 at The Bottom Shelf. Please have submissions in to Jeff by Sunday, May 14, 2006 at 10:00 PM ET. The theme for this edition is “something local”, a drink that in some way can be traced as near to the submitter’s geographic location as possible. I’m personally thinking about writing about Ward 8 or Harpoon beer. Other ideas I brainstormed are local wineries, regional cocktails, microbreweries, and mixers produced nearby.
