American Craft Beer Week
Is it the middle of May already? American Craft Beer Week is May 15-21. On its own, craft beer is already pretty exciting, especially with the upcoming American Beer Fest in March. (Harpoon Brewery starts selling a limited number of discounted tickets tomorrow to Friends of Harpoon members!) However, to sweeten the deal, you can get prizes for going to breweries during ACBW.
For each brewery you go to, you get 1 point. For each Brewers Association brewery you go to, you get 2 points. If you’re an American Homebrewers Association member, then you get 3 points.
In exchange for points, you get stuff. 10 points gets you a pair of pint glasses and a certificate. 25 points gets you a polo shirt. 35 or more points get you both. And if you’re completely loco and get the most total points, then you get a trip for two to the 25th Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO September 28-30.
Without even leaving the Greater Boston area, I should be able to get at least a pair of pint glasses. Now, who wants to drive across the country with me going to as many breweries as possible in one week?
