2006 Samuel Adams American Homebrew Contest
In celebration of American Craft Beer Week, Sam Adams is lauching their 2006 American Homebrew Contest.
Five finalists get a trip to the 25th Annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO where two finalists will be chosen. Entries are due by August 1-18, 2006. The two winning beers will be included in the LongShot mix six-pack available February 2007.
Also, a Samuel Adams employee’s homebrew will be included in the specialty LongShot mix six-pack next to the finalists’.
As far as I can tell, the prize mostly stinks, considering they appear to own your beer afterwards. However, the winners will gain fame and recognition, and this could be the door in that some need. Details aren’t yet available on the Sam Adams website, but I’m sure they’ll be up shortly.
