More on the Sale of Rolling Rock
Earlier, I reported on Bud’s acquisition of Rolling Rock, and Craiger left behind a comment about the sadness of it all. Indeed, seeing recent news about AB buying Goose Island Beer really hammers in the reality that Rolling Rock is just another brand for big business to own and use. I’m not knocking capitalism (hey, I want money, too), but I am lamenting the loss of the spirit behind the beer and the hurt that Latrobe, PA will feel.
Anyway, for more opinion pieces on this, check out The Patriot News, Niagara Falls Reporter, WTAE-TV, and many more. The brewery must now find a buyer by July 31 or be faced with closure and layoffs. Does anybody want to loan me millions to start a brewery?
