Wine.woot!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve likely heard of the once-a-day shopping site woot filled with sarcastic humor and in-your-face descriptions of products. Well, the same crazy people have now launched wine.woot, which looks extremely promising!
The way wine.woot works is a new wine is up for sale once a week. Once it runs out, it runs out, and there’s nothing left to buy until another wine is featured. Shipping per order is $5 flat, and you can buy up to three of the same product. (For wine, this becomes quite a steal!) They say the wine should arrive in about a week, except in states where there are more regulatory hurdles, e.g. Massachusetts. Woot’s prices are way below the industry average and are usually lower than the cheapest of the cheap discounters out there. How do they do it? I have no idea.
What really excites me is the prospect of other woot happenings. For example, they oftentimes feature a random bag of crap for $5. That’d be pretty neat to get a grab bag of wine for cheap. Then, there are the woot launches for new products and woot-offs where they sell a long string of products one after another. I can barely keep myself contained!
