Beer Judge Certification Program
In my daily, uh, “research”, I came across this site for the first time: Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). They’ve been around since 1985 and are a managing body for beer judges. The website isn’t just about certifications and exams, though, it’s also a great resource for all things beer.
Check out some of these various resources from the BJCP site: style guidelines, competition calendar, links, and forums. The style guidelines are extremely detailed, and there is an incredible number of competitions in the calendar. Especially interesting to me is the homebrewing software in the links list.
