Jay-Z Boycotts Cristal
At $200+ per bottle, Cristal is a rarity in most people’s lives unless you’re a hip hop artist extraordinaire. However, it turns out that Cristal doesn’t quite like the publicity and recently said in The Economist about hip hop’s unofficial endorsement, “That’s a good question, but what can we do? We can’t forbid people from buying it. I’m sure Dom Perignon or Krug would be delighted to have their business.”
Well, Jay-Z decided that the racist comment sounded about right and is now boycotting Cristal. In fact, he will now only serve Dom and Krug in his 40/40 club, and I’m sure we’ll hear some albums soon tearing Cristal a new asshole.
