3.2 Beer

3.2 Beer, i.e., 3.2% ABW or 4.0% ABV, is a throwback to the days of Prohibition repeal. By law, it’s sold in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Utah. However, higher ABV beers are still available in some of these places with the right liquor licenses (refer to Wikipedia’s near beer article).

It’s amazing to me that some states still allow only 3.2 beer. I don’t think I saw a single beer that low in ABV at the American Beer Fest last night. By the way, the VIP session was awesome, and if you can still find tickets and can make it out today, you should!
