Dutch Fans Forced into Underwear

In case you don’t know (this is mostly a US audience after all), the World Cup is going on right now, and Budweiser happens to be the official sponsor. This has caused some major controversy, as the event is in Germany, and other beers have been forced out of the stadiums.

The latest controversy is the stripping of Dutch fans. FIFA officials forced Dutch fans to remove their orange lederhosen that displayed the name of Dutch brewery Bavaria before being allowed into the stadium. Most fans had normal pants under the hose, but apparently, some didn’t and were forced to watch the game in their underwear. Hm, could FIFA be going too far? And, could this somehow stir even more anti-Anheuser Busch and anti-American feelings in an already pissed off country?

For those who don’t know (again, we’re in the US), orange is the national color of The Netherlands, and fans often come dressed completely in orange to support their teams.

Why is American beer served cold? So you can tell it from urine.
