Anheuser-Busch’s New Liquor
Anheuser-Busch is now testing a new liquor product. “Jekyll & Hyde” is fruit-flavored and is meant to be mixed with beer. It will be introduced by Long Tail Libations, Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of AB. The introduction of the new booze is unsurprising due to the eroding market for beer in the US.
Another interesting tidbit from the article is an analyst’s surmising that AB will likely acquire some liquor brands as well. Bacardi is apparently looking ripe for takeover, especially since AB already distributes the Bacardi Silver line.
