Russian Revolution Imminent?
Russia has run dry. It’s not due to a booze shortage, Prohibition, or Russian mafia. Instead, it’s due to those darned excise stamps. Retailers held massive sales in June to rid themselves of imported alcohol that would have to be sent back to warehouses, and shelf space is now filled with booze accompaniments. It seems like now would be a really bad time to visit, though it seems that vodka is still available. You may have to postpone that Russia trip for three months.
