One Man, One Dream

Cirrus VodkaWhile the vodka itself may be incredibly good, that’s not why we’re writing about Cirrus Vodka. Instead, what’s interesting is that this company has only one employee, which just might explain why there’s pretty much nothing on their website.

Paul McCann singlehandedly distills and sells Cirrus Vodka, which is made just outside of Richmond, VA. He’s spent two years and $500,000 on the undertaking. A 750mL bottle sells for $22 and has been doing remarkably well with 220 bottles sold at the Alcoholic Beverage Commission stores in the first month. It’s also carried at a number of restaurants.

All of this is pretty amazing and certainly gives all of us wannabe distillers, brewmasters, and winemakers some hope and encouragement via his story. Wish him good luck in his endeavor.
