Australian scientists are studying worms and insects in the hope that they can provide clues as to how to build a “cybernose” to detect wine flavors and aromas. Worms and insects have sensitive yet simple nerve structures, which scientists hope to decipher. They even optimistically predict a product in 5-7 years.
