Korean Distillery CEOs Love Their Own Product
As evidenced by the recent Coors DUI, the people who run breweries definitely like to drink their own stuff. Proving not to be outdone, Korean distillery CEOs do, too. The Korea Times reports (or really gossips) that CEOs of major distilleries “drink often and heavily”.
The CEO of Jinro, the leading producer of soju, drinks an average of two bottles of soju and five bottles of beer each day. The CEO of Doosan, another Korean liquor manufacturer, drinks three or four bottles of soju a day. This is down from five or six bottles before he underwent surgery for his intestinal cancer. Hite Beer’s CEO drinks three to four bottles of 5.6-liter beer while OB’s CEO drinks about six bottles of beer a day. The CEOs of Pernod Ricard Korea and Diageo Korea both drink half a bottle of whiskey or cognac about half the days of the week.
This makes me feel a little better. Then again, perhaps these men have superlivers.
