Beer Helps Hay Fever Sufferers

On Monday, Sapporo announced findings showing that flavonol alleviates hay fever symptoms. Flavonol is found in hops, which is found in beer, so hooray beer! Oh, wait, wrong company.

A study of twenty people (not exactly a large sample size, but I’ll take it) showed that a drink of water enhanced with flavonol alleviated sneezing for 60% and running noses for 55%. Based on these findings, Sapporo plains on making a new beverage containing flavonol, though I’m confused as to why that wouldn’t simply be beer. All I know is if hopped up beer can replace my Nasalcrom, I know which I’d choose.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
