Secret to Kettle Chips Beer Flavor

Kettle ChipsIf you shop in the gourmet chip aisle, then you might have run across the Kettle Chips Cheddar Beer flavor. (I’ve tried them, and honestly, I don’t like them. I prefer my standby of salt and fresh ground pepper.) Beer and chips have gone hand in hand for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently that someone finally figured out how to get beer flavor into a powder to combine the two into one food.

A news story in the UK tells us a little about the secret: Kettle Chips worked with Adnams Brewery using Broadside. However, not much more information is presented. I also assume the English chips are the same as the American ones, but who knows? Now, I just need to get a pint of Broadside to compare.
