Wine Insurance

For all you rich oenophiles out there, make sure that wine is covered by your insurance. Just like floods, acts of God, and valuables, fine wine may require a separate policy or rider attached to your homeowners (or in my case renters) insurance. Special wine coverage is available usually for $0.50 per $100 of value, and individual appraisals aren’t even necessary unless you have individual bottles worth more than $10,000. In that case, why are you even bothering with this blog?

As mentioned in the article, here’s good test as to whether you need wine insurance or not: if you keep your wine in your fridge next to your beer, then don’t worry about it.
