Beer Monster Tony
An everyman hero, “Beer Monster” Tony Messado has sampled 10,000 ales since he started keeping records in 1996. (In case your math stinks, that’s 1000 beers sampled each year.) He’s been a member of CAMRA for ten years and says that he’s only an amateur compared to other enthusiasts who have sampled three times the number he has.
Also, in case you’re ready to criticize how he arrived at the 10,000 number, he saves all the tastings in a database, and they actually do drink half-pint samples of each beer.
