Dandelion Wine
You can make wine out of pretty much anything. If it can be fermented, then you can drink it. Of course, that sentence wouldn’t be complete without this disclaimer: I’m not responsible for your ingesting anything.
Anyway, one such thing is dandelions. Yes, that nasty weed to the left can be made into something potable. I’ve even had it in salads. In fact, you can even buy dandelion wine commercially according to this news article. Both listed locations are in the Midwest, though, which may be inconvenient for most readers. Of course, making dandelion wine is inconvenient as well, considering the fact that I’m in an urban area. However, it does sound incredibly intriguing. Now, I just need to find a source for dandelions in Boston.

My family has always made dandelion wine. I think it is a country kind of thing.

I recently bought two small bottles from Honeymoon Trail Winery in Niagara County, NY: http://honeymoontrailwinery.com/. Unfortunately, they only ship within NY at this time.
