Kingfisher Airlines
Would you be willing to fly an airline called “Budweiser” or “Corona”? Or God forbid, “Coors”? Apparently, Indian travelers have no such reservations with the success of Kingfisher Airlines. Yup, the airline is named after a beer and even uses a similar slogan, “Fly the good times”. One-third of all beer sold in India is Kingfisher.
The companies are all owned by United Breweries Group, which also has a near monopoly on the entire Indian beer market due to a recent takeover, according to Wikipedia.
