Is It Halloween Already?

My costume? Lame. The parties? Lame. Halloween on a Tuesday? Lame. The B line in Boston on Halloween weekend? Hellish.

Hopefully, you’re faring better than I am. However, if you’re not, then you might want to check out a few Halloween-related drink articles at this last minute:

  • Spooky Beer Stories: Alan Eames, a cultural anthropologist, brews some beer-themed, true Halloween stories. He’s written a number of books, including The Secret Life of Beer!: Exposed: Legends, Lore & Little-Known Facts. I have got to pick up this book.
  • Homemade Keg Costume: I saw a pretty cool keg costume last Friday that dispensed beer from a tap worn on top of a head, but it’s nowhere as cool as a keg costume made from a real keg! Of course, you might need more than a few hours to cut apart a keg. Perhaps next year, or you could dress for Thanksgiving to make the turkey jealous.
  • Halloween Cocktails: Yes, this is a lame Google search link, but trust me. It’s no worse than all the random Halloween cocktail articles out there right now.
  • Lastly, a suggestion of my own for Halloween. Back in college, the tradition was to have Liquor Treat. Each building would have a separate party specializing in one drink, and we’d all go around from dorm to dorm getting rather smashed. Go out there, meet your neighbors, and throw the best Halloween party imaginable. It can still be done. Can’t think of any drink ideas? Refer to link #3.

Make sure you are not caught in lame costumes this Halloween. To make sure the party this year is a total blast, throw your own! Grab some funny costumes and party favors then invite the most interesting and fun people you know. Make sure you have plenty of women in sexy costumes to keep things lively and mix the perfect Halloween hooch to loosen up the scene. Have fun and here’s to a party everyone will remember for years to come.

Beer will always have a definite role in the diet of an individual and can be considered a cog in the wheel of nutritional foods.
