European Beer Statistics
In case you need to impress that hot blonde at the bar or your stats prof (and here’s wishing they could both be the same person), check out this website with European Beer Statistics. Amazingly comprehensive tables give data on beer production, consumption, breweries, imports/exports, sales, and more. There are also detailed German, Czech, Danish, and UK beer statistics.
Here’s one way I’ll use them. On my future drunken European tour, I’ll make sure to drink more beer in Spain where the tax is only €8.87 and less beer in Finland where the tax is €142.95 per hectoliter. That’s a difference of about €0.64 ($0.82), which can really add up after a night of drinking!
