Wine Party Ideas
The Star, a Malaysian newspaper, has a great list of ideas for wine party themes. Just choose from the following:
- Easy: Tell half your guests to bring red wine and the other half to bring white wine. Then, drink.
- Appealing: Compare one style of wine to another, e.g., Cabernet v. Merlot.
- Intermediate: Compare different wineries to another using only one style of wine, e.g., get many different types of Merlot.
- Logistical effort: Choose one varietal and get all the wines you can from a specific region, e.g., Californian Pinot Noir.
- Challenging and expensive: Compare different vintages of one wine.
- The ultimate: Have a blind tasting session.
In the end, the theme doesn’t really matter. Just have fun, and drink some wine.
