Yup, Red Wine Is Still Healthy
In yet another study about red wine, Roger Corder, et al. of Queen Mary’s School of Medicine in London discovered that procyanidins in red wine benefit the heart. This isn’t the same thing as the resveratrol people are snapping off of store shelves. More interestingly, procyanidins are highest in southwestern French wines where French men tend also to live the longest.
In case you don’t feel like drinking southwestern French red wine (but where’s the fun in that?), you can also find procyanidins in chocolate, apples, and cranberries.
