- Employed 309,000 people, up 49 percent from the 207,550 reported in 2002.
- Paid its employees total wages of $9 billion, up 18 percent from 2002.
- Produced 2.7 billion bottles of wine, down 14 percent from the 3.12 billion bottles produced in 2002.
- Created wines with a total retail value of $16.5 billion, up 9 percent from $15.2 billion in 2002.
- Attracted $2 billion in spending by visitors in 2005, a 54 percent increase from 2002.
- Made charitable contributions of $115 million, up 58 percent from 2002.
